Girls' weekend

Bjossi was in Akureyri for the weekend so the girls and I had to keep ourselves busy.

Contemplating her next brush stroke.

Rosie is over-dressed and Mary is under-dressed.

Blowing on her nail polish.

Snuggling with baby Rosie.

Watching a blast from the past: our wedding video. This was Mary's request, I swear!

Yummmm, sweet potatoes.

"Sick" day

Mary said her ear hurt so I let her stay home from school. It turns our she wasn't sick, thankfully.

Snoozing on the way to IKEA. She held tight to her baby Rosie the whole time.

Practicing for Ash Wednesday (similar to Halloween, but less about candy at this age).

Rosie can roll over from her back to her stomach!

Icy playground

"First I'm going to play at the Mary playground, and then I'm going to play at the Pabbi playground!"

Bubbles!

Mary's rope climbing is coming along.

"Mama, I'm a monkey!"

Doing some leg lifts.

Rosie was so bundled up she could hardly see.

Family picture

Mary drew all the members of our family, including her sock (on the far left) :-).

"Mama, I scraped the food off of Rosie's chin just like you!"

Saturday morning ballet.

Mary couldn't choose just one necklace so she decided to wear them all.

Weekend activities

"Mama, I'm cutting the spaghetti!"

Happiness :-).

Rosie's first solid food!

Ummm, you have a little something on your mouth...

Practicing letters shirtless.

Sledding is fun when you have a Pabbi who's willing to be your sled dog.

School activities

Mary was so excited to bring her bee flashlight to the sing along.

Watching the fire-juggler.

"Fire, mama!" Also enjoying some hot cocoa.

Like Mary, Rosie enjoys looking in the mirror. I think we have a couple of narcissists on our hands.

Hanging out with her friends.

There must have been something very exciting going on behind her.

Playing around

The jumperoo is great for everyone :-).

Mary decided to use a mirror instead of sheet music.

I guess she found her own image was inspiration enough.

Sleepover

Sonja slept at our house last night and the girls had lots of fun!

Pre-bedtime playing.

Mary got into the crib to help Sonja wake up this morning.

A little less groggy a few minutes later.

Visiting the bonfire this evening.

Christmas trees help fuel the fire.

Happy New Year!

Reuniting with Sonja :-).

Modeling her new t-shirt and ear muffs.

Rosie was happy to munch on her dress.

Starting the fireworks early.

All bundled up (with eye protection!) for the fireworks.

If anyone can make safety goggles look cool it's Anna and Sonja.

Mary LOVED the fireworks!

Pabbi and Einar finishing off the last of the pyrotechnics.
