Barrettes

Mary and I had a girls night last night so we decided to have some fun with barrettes.

Mary was in charge of choosing which barrettes to put in her hair.

Passing me yet another one.

Not a bad look, but it was a lot of work!

Feeling better

Mary was feeling much better by last night!

Under the weather

Mary had a stomach bug yesterday and she's still not feeling great today.

We went to the Franklin Park Zoo Rain Forest exhibit with Jack, Auntie Kate, and Uncle Matt this weekend.

Spring teaser

We had some warm weather yesterday so we went for a walk on the Greenway for the first time since the fall.

Mary may be tall for her age, but Pabbi still dwarfs her.

Mary wanted to see if we would chase her ...

... but we lured her back with the promise of a shoulder ride.

Jeans!

We bought Mary her first pair of real jeans and she loves them.

Those heart-shaped knee pads are going to come in handy once we can go to play grounds again.

Mary can't get enough guitar time these days, and she loves saying the word in Icelandic.

Guitar time

Pabbi let Mary play with one of his guitars the other day and she was definitely into it.

It's taller than Mary is!

The guitar was too heavy for Mary to hold so we let her wear just the strap. She was not satisfied with our compromise.

Hair cut and other fun things

Mary's hair was getting long so I took her in for a trim.

The lollipop really came in handy when it was time for Mary to sit still.

Messy play and then clean up

I let Mary play with some dry beans in a bowl and it didn't take long for it to turn into a messy activity.

At first it was gentle scooping.

Then she dove in. Note that a few beans made their way out of the bowl.

Clean-up was an activity in itself, so it worked out well.

The hooded one

Mary is very fond of her new hooded sweatshirt.

She just discovered how useful pockets can be.

Pabbi let her play with his old computer before he got rid of it.

I tried to put the sled away but Mary was adamant that we play with it...inside.
