Baking

Mary was happy to be in the kitchen with me once she had her own utensils and bowls.

Mixing away.

A little taste test.

Is anyone in here?

Taking an even closer look.

Blocks

Mary has a huge set of blocks that we've been trying to interest her in lately, but she's not quite there yet.

Blocks make a nice seat.

Asking for some sort of help.

Family weekend

Mary got to see lots of her Icelandic family this weekend!

Chilling with Einar on the Greenway.

Talking to Amma on speakerphone.

Getting to know baby Jon.

Pondering some dessert while chatting with Anna Maria.

The babies were ready to party.

Mary hung out with her polar bears while the rest of us ate brunch.

Doing her best to be gentle with Anna Maria, but Pabbi was nearby just in case.

Jon wasn't very impressed with brunch.

Kissing the polar bear.

Even a rubber band is fun with Uncle Einar.

Museum lady

Mary and I went to story time at the MFA this morning. It was a bit of a bust because it was so crowded, but we had fun visiting a few galleries with some friends. These are phone pictures so they're a bit blurry.

Mary has become a purse lover.

Looking to rest her tired legs.

Who doesn't wear sunglasses in a museum?

Coloring!

Mary got some new crayons today and they were a big hit. She only tried to eat them a couple of times, which is an improvement from previous attempts.

Two crayons are better than one.

Testing the limits of her little hands

It probably goes without saying, but Mary is not the one who wrote her name on the paper :-).

Waving "hello" to Mr. Froggy.

Befriending another Froggy.

Playing on the Greenway

Mary and I took a stroll on the Greenway this morning.

Ooooo, grass!

Mary is a self-cleaning child.

Trying to get Mama's phone.

Watching the cars on Atlantic. Mary even made a few friends when she waved at people stopped at the traffic light.

Go Pats!

Mary and I went to a friend's house to watch the Pats game and Mary was great company. She even watched a little of the game. (The pictures are from my phone, so they're not the best quality.)

Doing "The Itsy, bitsy spider" with Lisa.

Melissa knew right where to tickle.

Mary did her best to cheer on the Pats (even wearing her cheerleader outfit), but with no luck.

A giant, purple, furry hat and a lobster always equal fun.

Kissing the lobster.

Another day at the playground

Mary had a play date with some other ladies at the playground yesterday.

Waiting for someone to push her around.

Then it was Mary's turn to push, but there was some conflict over the baby doll. Luckily Mary decided to steer clear.

Giddyup!!!!

Exercises

Mary has lots of energy these days!

Who would want to go down a slide?

Much to my surprise, she actually made some progress.

But it didn't last long. At least she was a good sport about it.

Push ups with Pabbi.

Kissy lips.

BC football

Mary went to her first football game yesterday and she had a lot of fun!

Jack the college boy.

Cheerleaders need to stay hydrated.

Watching the game closely.

Keeping Pop company.

New boots

Mary just got her first pair of rain boots!

Trying them on for the first time.

She can sort of put them on herself.

Kissing (or licking, more likely) the butterflies.

Bathing cap beauty

Mary had a lot of fun trying on Mama's new shower cap.

The close-up shot.

Where'd Mary go?

I might consider using this during meals if Mary continues to confuse her hair with a napkin.

Getting a ride from Pabbi.
