Halloween and more

Mary got a second use out of her chicken costume at a party with other babies. Still super cute.

Mary's love of her own image is getting out of hand.

Mary rolled over for the first time today and she's showing no sign of slowing down.

Sophia the lady bug, Jack the bee, and Mary the chicken.

Just the cousins.

Mary and Sophia "playing."

Jack was all smiles after his wardrobe change. I think I was blowing on him to try to make him smile.

Halloween preview

We had an early Halloween celebration with some friends last night and the babies' costumes were too cute for words!

Dress rehearsal.

The domino effect.

Mary was in a more serious mood that usual. Maybe it was because she was sitting next to a dragon.

All the babies together.

A chicken and a strawberry.

Fall weekend in Boston

We took advantage of some beautiful fall weather on Sunday and went for a walk with Mary.

Sharing is not in Mary's vocabulary...yet.

In the Public Garden with Pabbi.

Trying Mama's sunglasses on for size.

The chubby-cheeked twins.

New highchair

We finally bought Mary a highchair and she seems to like it so far!

Happy girl.

I see at least two chins, maybe three.

A colorful girl

Mary has been wearing some new clothes lately, now that she's moved into the next size (6-12 months).

Little Miss Polka Dot.

Practicing sitting in her crib and hanging out with Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore.

Pabbi calls this her mime outfit.

Morning coffee

Mary was getting jealous that Pabbi and Mama get coffee in the morning so we decided to "share" with her.

She's got the right idea.

Quite the big girl.

5 months old!

It's hard to believe Mary is 5 months old already!

We went to watch the Head of the Charles but didn't stay long since it was quite cool.

Some post bath relaxation.

Fun time with Pabbi.

Mary is finally doing her share of the work around here -- holding the bottle for Pabbi.

Jumperoo time.

Autumn with Mary

Mary is learning what cold feels like now that autumn weather has arrived.

Sporting her Icelandic winter suit for an outing. Maggie Simpson comes to mind...

Giving Amma some love.

Mary wasn't satisfied just playing with her feet -- now she wants to eat them too.

Sports fans

Mary watched her first BC football game [on TV] today but it wasn't a great first experience -- they lost terribly. Regardless, she and her cousin Jack showed their support for the team.

Mary kept leaning in the wrong direction.

This epitomizes the two babies: Jack is relaxed and Mary is constantly moving.

Mary later overcompensated for leaning in the wrong direction, but she practically squished Jack in the process.

She is a true Icelander; she's already developed a taste for Brennivin.

Taking an interest in Jack...gently, we hope.

Mary's first food

Mary had her first taste of cereal the other day. She didn't hate it, although it's unclear how much of the cereal was actually ingested.

Her face started out clean.

Helping Mama with the spoon.

Mary seems pretty proud of herself.

And not so clean anymore.

Baptism weekend

Mary and her cousin Jack were both baptized this weekend so there was lots of family and fun.

Mary was pretty nervous before the ceremony, but she did really well.

Post ceremony picture with the godparents.

Jack was also a superstar. He managed to make a christening gown look masculine.

Hanging out with Amma at the party.

Watching the Patriots with Uncle Willie.

It turns out Mary LOVES balloons. Uncle Sveinn does too.

Two cuties.

Jack getting to know Sigga.

Mary thought the balloon looked quite scrumptious.

Day-to-day cuteness

Mary had her first cold recently but it hasn't stopped her from keeping up with her busy schedule.

Mary has been working on her Icelandic with Pabbi.

Snoozing after a visit with family.

Bath time with Pabbi (he is wearing a bathing suit, btw).

Little water baby.

Mary is nice enough to let mama towel her off after the bath.
